Emergencies are considered a priority at Canterbury Dental.
Pain: Anyone in pain is always seen the same day. Simply call the office and we will arrange an emergency appointment to deal with the urgent situation. Because we have appointments already booked for each day, you may have to wait, but we will see you the same day to deal with the urgency.
Broken tooth: Normally we will see you the same day. Simply call the receptionist and arrangements will be made.
Accidents: Tooth is knocked out of its socket (hockey, baseball bat etc) Immediately remove foreign debris from the root (wash or lick it off) and reinsert the tooth back in the socket. Once in the socket, then give it a quick hard push and check to see if it appears to line up with the adjacent teeth. Note: At the time of the incident, the accident site is usually numb from the trauma, so you can normally push the tooth back in the socket with minimal discomfort.
